We put a call out to our community of shoppers to embellish a 6 inch circle of fabric, with their thoughts and feelings about climate change. I then put this banner together, sticking into the banner with thoughts and quotes from prominent environmentalists.
When we took it to Glasgow, we had so many different conversations and 100's of people took photos of the banner.

This is my contribution to the Banner, as I work with plastic bags, the person is cut out of fused carrier bags. |

I stitched each circle individually by hand, picking the best colour thread and stitch to compliment the circle.
I embellished the banner with quotes and symbols from important environmentalists. Bringing the banner together to be one large piece of work. |

After the initial exhibition in Buy the Kilo, the banner went to Glasgow for the COPP26, where we marched with over 100,000 people. As it was a very rainy day, some of the circles that had written words on didn't survive the journey of that day. |

It is now at the Linskill centre on display outside their rooms that are used for craft classes, but is on a corridor, which has a huge footfall. I am now looking for the next place. A lot of people contributed to this banner and it needs to seen. |
